Introducing the New Extra Silken Tofu

 

Are you excited about the creamiest tofu ever? Nature’s Soy just launched the NEW Extra Silken Tofu! In this month’s blog we are introducing and featuring the Extra Silken Tofu and share some recipes for you to try. The recipes we are sharing here include a traditional Chinese dish- Jellied Bean Curd and a smoothie using New Extra Silken Tofu.

Extra Silken Tofu is rich in flavor and gives you the creamiest, smoothest, and finest texture. Because the Extra Silken Tofu is never pressed, it makes it very soft and delicate. The cooking method for Extra Silken Tofu is very versatile, as it can be served cold or hot. The softest texture will add the extra creamy taste to smoothies and desserts.

1. Jellied Bean Curd

The Jellied Bean Curd is a traditional food that people in China will eat for breakfast. It is served with a number of condiments such as boiled soy sauce, chopped scallions, small dried shrimps, shredded pickled vegetables, sugar and sesame oil. People usually eat while it is still warm and tender.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Package of Nature’s Soy Extra Silken Tofu

  • 5 Pieces of Shiitake Mushroom, soak in water, chopped in small cubes

  • ¼ Cup of Black Fungus, soak in water, chopped in slice

  • 2 Beaten Eggs

  • Minced Ginger and Green Onion as needed

  • 1 Teaspoon Cooking Oil

  • 2 Teaspoon Corn Starch

  • ¼ Cup of Water

  • 1 piece of Aniseed

  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon Soy Sauce

Instructions:

  1. First start with the Topping Sauce. Heat cooking oil in an empty pan until hot and add minced ginger and green onions and fry for 30 seconds. Then add chopped shitake mushroom, black fungus, aniseed, salt, soy sauce, corn starch, water and beaten eggs. Boil until the egg is well done.

  2. Add 1 package of Nature’s Soy Extra Silken Tofu into a steamer, steam the tofu for 8 minutes until it is tender.

  3. In an empty bowl, use a spoon to scoop the steamed tofu into the bowl. Pour the topping sauce we just made on the tofu. Enjoy your delicious Jellied Bean Curd. You can add cilantro, green onion and chili oil as needed.

2. Pink Smoothies

With accents of dragon fruit combined with the finest Extra Silken Tofu. A creamy and refreshing sip is perfect for the summer days. Ingredients are simple and healthy and only use dragon fruit and banana. Ready in 30 seconds!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Package of Nature’s Soy Extra Silken Tofu

  • 5 oz Dragon Fruit Cube

  • 1/2 banana

  • 12 oz Water

  • 6 oz Oat Milk


    Instructions:

  1. Combines all ingredients in a blender for 30-45 seconds.

    *tips: Use frozen fruit and less liquid if you prefer a thicker consistency,
